A + K
Amber and Kerisa grew up running through the forests of BC, Canada on an organic vegetable farm outside of a small city. They attribute their love of art and music to their unconventional childhood being raised without cable tv or internet; ultimately allowing them to cultivate their creativity and imaginations.
In 2012, the twin sisters joined creative forces to form A + K, a multi-media arts team specializing in visual art and design. Together they create unique bodies of work by inspiring and complementing each other’s dynamic style and artistry with their *plasma-cut metal work, modern abstract paintings and creative design. Additionally, the sisters worked in the entertainment industry mostly through modeling and acting and dabbling in musical theatre. *A plasma-cutter is a tool found in the welding field that works by sending an electric arc through a gas (compressed air) that is passing through a constricted opening. This process cuts through electrically conductive materials by an accelerate jet of hot plasma.
